GSL-1700X-ASD-80 is a fully automatic tube furnace operated by PC with an 80 mm ID alumina tube and 1700oC max. working temperature. It automates the vacuum sealing, purging, and pressure control ( Vacuum or positive ),  heating, and cooling, as well as flange opening in a sequence via one click without manual operation.  Automation of sample loading  can also be realized via an optional robot, including remote control, data logging, sample loading, and unloading for AI material research

Furnace 

 
  • Double-layer steel structure with splittable cover
  • High-purity Al2O3 fibrous insulation with Max. energy saving
  • 170 mm length heating zone with Constant temperature zone 60 mm with +/- 1°C 
  • PID programmable temperature controller with +/- 1°C accuracy
  • Max working temperature:    1700oC @ < 1 hr, and 1600ºC continuous
  • One alumina tube (3.15" x 40" (80 OD x 74 ID x 1000 L) mm) is included
  • The pressure sensor is built in to control chamber pressure automatically
  • One MFC is built in to control the gas flow rate automatically
Airtight Flanges




  • Water-cold stainless steel flange with silicone O-ring and valves for airtight heat treatment 
  • One recirculating water chiller is included (Click Pic 1 for specs)
  • The right side flange will be driven by an electric motor & compressive air to open or close
  • One compressive pump is included ( click Pic. 2 for specs)
  • A digital pressure sensor is built-in to control pressure from 1 Pa to 200 KPa  automatically
  • Max. The vacuum level can reach up to 10-4 torr, which is dependent on the vacuum pump.  
  • One rotary vacuum pump is included, which can reach a 10 Pa vacuum. ( Click Pic 2 for specs )

Sample Stage ( Holder )

  • The sample stage is installed with a slidable flange on the right side
  • One crucible holder ( made of alumina or graphite) is included to carry  one 36 ml crucible ( Click  Pic 1)
  • Customized sample holders for multiple small crucibles are available upon request. ( Pic. 2) for high throughput

Control Panel & Software


  • One 15" laptop computer with software is included
  • PC will program all parameters, including
    • Chamber pressure  ( 1-200 KPa )
    • Gas flow rate  ( 0 - 2000ml/minute )
    • Purging cycles  ( 0 - 3 times )
    • Temperature program ( heating rate, dwell time, and cooling rate ) up to 30 segments
    • The flange closes/opens
  • The RJ45 communication port is installed on the front panel to connect to the PC or wireless router to achieve remote control  ( PC and router are available upon request at the extra cost )
  • Communication code is opened to the existing customer to connect the device to robots for unmanned operation
